Ketamine-Augmented Psychotherapy

Ketamine-augmented psychotherapy combines medically supervised ketamine treatment with a structured psychotherapeutic process. It may be considered in selected cases of depression, particularly when previous treatments have not provided sufficient improvement.

Treatment is based on an individual care plan. A thorough psychiatric and physical health assessment helps determine whether this approach is suitable. Treatment takes place under medical supervision and includes psychotherapeutic preparation, support, and follow-up.

Individual Assessment and Informed Consent

Before treatment begins, we discuss the potential benefits, risks, and side effects, as well as alternative treatment options. Improvement cannot be guaranteed.

The use of ketamine to treat depression is off-label, meaning that it is used outside its approved indications. In Germany, statutory health insurance generally does not cover the costs. We explain the treatment process and anticipated costs during a personal consultation before treatment begins.
