Psychotherapy and Symbolic Experience

Our psychotherapeutic work is grounded in scientifically recognized and evidence-based methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy, schema therapy, and psychodynamic approaches. These methods form the established foundation of our treatment.

At the same time, we acknowledge that human experience is not structured solely on a rational level. Emotional processes, inner imagery, personal narratives, and subjective meaning-making play an important role within the therapeutic process.

Symbolic concepts, archetypal motifs, or metaphorical models are therefore not understood as explanatory or predictive systems, but rather as potential reflective tools within psychotherapy. They may serve to structure subjective experiences and help clarify complex inner dynamics.

Such perspectives do not replace evidence-based therapy and do not substitute scientific models. They are applied, if at all, in a transparent and complementary manner.

The core of our work remains structured, guideline-oriented psychotherapy and a professionally grounded therapeutic relationship.
